THOSE WHO RUN AND PLAY AMONGST
THE ANGELS..
Wayne & Lady Bryanne & Lady
1986-1989 This gentle and kind soul entered our life one bright sunny day. Her light continually shone upon us, for way too short a time. She was our best friend, one of our *kids*, loved everyone & everything. I could gaze upon her eyes forever and saw wisdom, kindness, unconditional love and understanding. In our opinion, she was the smartest thing on 4 legs. She understood our language. She did the normal puppy things, like eating couches, gnawing on wood, be it furniture or door casings. I remember coming home one night to newspapers, strewn from one end of the house to the other and she was so HAPPY to see us, this was before we ever thought of crating our dogs :)
She kindled our passion for the Bull Breeds, she lit the torch. May your light shine brightly, sweet one, for I will need it to show me the way........

BOO WAS A SABLE. TOTALLY OPPOSITE FROM HER MOTHER IN EVERYTHING, EXCEPT FOR HER LOVE OF THE KIDS AND FAMILY. SHE WAS DOG AGGRESSIVE, EXTREMELY TERRITORIAL AND WAS THE SOUNDING BOARD WHEN ANYONE ARRIVED. SHE RULED THE ROOST AS FAR AS THE OTHER DOGS WERE CONCERNED. A PUPPY COULD COME INTO THE HOUSEHOLD, AFTER THOROUGHLYBEING CHECKED OUT, BUT NO ADULT DOGS WERE ALLOWED IN HER HOME, EXCEPT THOSE THAT ALREADY LIVED WITH IN THE PACK. VERY STUBBORN AND BULL HEADED, SHE WAS A TRAINERS NIGHTMARE. OK, I'LL BE HONEST, SHE WAS MY NIGHTMARE! AFTER HAVING HAD HER MOTHER, WHOM WAS THE EASIEST THING TO TRAIN IN THE WORLD, I WAS NOW FACED WITH A NEW PERSONALITY. AFTER MUCH RESEARCH AND TAPPING INTO MANY DIFFERENT RESOURCES( BOOKS, TRAINERS, BREEDERS), I FINALLY FOUND HER WAY OF DOING THINGS AND SHE HAD ME COMPLETELY TRAINED IN NO TIME AT ALL! FOR ALL THE HAIR PULLING I DID, I LEARNED SOME INVALUABLE LESSONS... NEVER LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME WITHOUT A SECURED AREA, SUCH AS A CRATE, OR A KENNEL. NEVER LEAVE YOUR SCREENED WINDOWS OPEN, EVEN IN THE DEAD HEAT OF SUMMER. INVEST IN A/C AND CLOSE YOUR WINDOWS, EXCEPT IF YOU HAVE ONE THAT CAN'T DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN SCREEN AND GLASS. IT WILL BE CHEAPER IN THE LONG RUN, THAN REPLACING WINDOWS, BECAUSE YOUR DOG HAS GONE THROUGH THEM. OR CHEWED YOUR FURNITURE AND FLOORS, WONDERING , HOW COULD THEY BE THAT HUNGRY OR SPITEFUL! I CAN LOOK BACK AT IT NOW AND LAUGH! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, I CAN LOOK BACK AND SAY , " IT WAS ALL MY FAULT, HOW DUMB COULD I BE? " SHE TAUGHT ME AWARENESS, NOT ONLY OF MY DOGS, BUT EVERYTHING AROUND ME, WHICH COULD POTENTIALLY BE A DANGER TO THEM OR VICE VERSA. SHE TAUGHT ME PATIENCE, STRENGTH. RESPONSIBILITY , UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND HUMILITY. FINALLY, IN HER LAST DAYS SHE SHOWED ME HOW SELFISH I WAS BEING AND RIGHT TILL THE END SHE SHOWED ME COURAGE AND DIGNITY. AFTER 16 LONG YEARS OF LESSONS, TEACHING HER HUMAN EVERYTHING SHE COULD, IT WAS TIME TO RETURN TO A PLACE FILLED WITH PEACE, LOVE, FIELDS TO RUN IN AND ANIMALS TO CHASE AND BARK AT, TO HER HEARTS CONTENT.
AND WHO EVER SAID THEY'RE ONLY DOGS!!!!!!!!!
1997-2004 Kitty Witty was our resident mouser, dog socializer & greeter of all. She met an untimely death by falling into our pool late one night. It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of such an independent, loving feline. Your presence will be sorely missed by all.
1990- 1993
Jazzy was imported from California. Her Father was Ch. Lil Sierra's Percy Penny Packer. She too was dog aggressive, but loved everyone! She was such a HAPPY girl, always smiling, until the Pemphigus took over. SHE WAS A VERY BIG GIRL, WEIGHING 80 LBS AND LOOKED LIKE A MACK TRUCK. As you can see, my humble beginnings started out with Am Staffs. We imported Jazzy when she was approx. 1 1/2 yrs. old, our goal was to show her and by that time I was totally in love with the Sierra lines. 2 Days before she was to get on the plane to fly to Maine, she accidentally got bred by a Ch. Dog out there. Having had the pups and all was wonderful, she came down with an auto immune disease called Pemphigus. Much testing was done, drugs administered, and nothing was working, she suffered horribly, trying to find something that would keep her comfortable. Finally, at the age of three, we decided the kindest thing to do would be to put her to sleep. The funniest story I have of her is when she was in the house, I was outside, and I had $2,000 in my purse. I came back inside to see that she was happily munching away on the MONEY!!! Try explaining to the bank why you have such an amount of cash that is literally slobbered on and chewed in tiny bits! From that time on, I was known as the Am Staff lady at the bank. They couldn't remember my name, only that I was the Am Staff lady! It's taken years to live that one down.... She has been gone many years, but she can still bring a smile to my face every time I think about her! mISS JAZZY I WILL BE LOOKING FOR YOU WHEN MY TIME comes!
1987-2002
EMILY, THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER LIVED A GOOD LONG LIFE. SHE WAS A GENTLE , KIND SOUL. SHE CAME TO LIVE WITH US IN 1997 AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 10. KNOWING SHE LIVED BETTER THE LAST 5 YEARS, THAN SHE DID THE FIRST 10 OF HER LIFE, MADE IT ALL WORTHWHILE TO MAKE HER A MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY AT SUCH A GERIATRIC AGE. MISS EMILY WITH YOUR SWEET AND GENTLE WAYS, I KNOW YOU ARE UP THERE WATCHING OVER ALL OF US! March 20, 1989 - Nov. 5, 2005
